The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations.
We are seeking someone who can perform all activities related to customer service and resident retention in order to achieve the company’s occupancy, resident quality, and customer service expectations.
The right candidate should enjoy providing superior customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and fellow team members.
*Responsibilities include:*
* Professional and friendly customer service.
* Exceed resident expectations with warm, friendly and quick responsiveness to their concerns or requests for their homes or the community.
* Maintain accurate resident records in accordance with company policy; update daily reports concerning notice to vacate, vacancy reports, activity reports, etc.
on a daily basis.
* Collection of rents and preparation of receipts and late notices.
* Compose correspondence and documents; Answer phones and greet residents in a professional manner.
* Maintain professional communication with residents, applicants and representatives of other companies.
* Maintain all residents files, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all paperwork and documentation.
* Maintain a calendar of scheduled move-ins, ensuring all move-in appointments are completed and all apartments inspected and compliant with established standards prior to move-in.
* Assist the Property Manager as needed.

*Qualities Desired In Successful Candidate:*
* High school education or equivalent is required.
* One year minimum experience in residential property management required.
* Customer-focused approach
* Great with people- warm, friendly and helpful both in person and on the phone.
* Maintain a professional, courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, team members and Property Manager at all times.
* Possess dynamic attitude, superior customer service, verbal communication, written communication and follow up skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills, especially in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
* Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
* Proficient in MS Office.
* Ability to work 40 hours and must be available for overtime and weekends as needed.
* Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
* Ability to speak Spanish a plus, but not required.
* Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance are required; position requires own vehicle to fulfill all of the job's functions.
* Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check.
