Required License/Registration/Certification
Licensure through the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care at time of hire.
Physical Requirements
This position requires sitting, standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
Lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects up to 50 lbs may be required.
Shift
Primarily days with some off hours management and oversight.
Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist Manager-Pediatrics assumes 24 hour responsibility for the administration of respiratory care, and for the management of pediatric respiratory care staff in a specified clinical arena at all times and for the department on a rotating basis.
The individual functions in a decentralized organization and is accountable to the Enterprise Director of Respiratory Services.
The position requires the knowledge and skill of professional respiratory care theory and practice; leadership and administration; principles of teaching and learning; budgetary management and communication.
Knowledge, understanding, acceptance, and support of the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the Department of Respiratory Services and the institution.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and skills in leadership and/or management.
The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function effectively in stressful, high-volume situations.

Preferred Education/Experience
Prefer a minimum of 5 years in an inpatient hospital setting, with both Level 4 Neonatal ICU, pediatric ICU, and management experience.
