Community Leader (CL) Maple Street Biscuit Company (MSBC) is a fast-casual breakfast and lunch restaurant.

MSBC‘s Community Leader (CL) is responsible for leading the overall store operations, leadership team, and team members.
Role Specific Internal and External Guest Focus, Developing Winning Teams, Seeing the Bigger Picture, Innovating and Improving and Delivering Results Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for the business performance of the restaurant.
Plans and executes methods of increasing sales, achieving targeted costs, and maximizing profit.
Supports the long-term vision of MSBC and develops plans for continuous improvement, including, but not limited to: Creating and executing marketing plans to build sales within community.
Responsible for guest experience in and outside of the building and holds team members accountable to deliver excellent guest service.
Builds strong relationship with Mission Coaches, guests, vendors and subcontractors.
Holds and documents weekly meetings with their team to be informational, fact-finding, idea-generating, and problem-solving to regularly obtain feedback to improve operations.
Ensures team members adhere to Maple Street Biscuit Company guidelines as stated in the team member training manual and employee handbook.
Thoroughly and accurately uses applicable MSBC systems (Revel, FusionPrep, OLO, APS and more) Ensure proper implementation of all operational policies and procedures, including, but not limited to: Ensuring daily walkthroughs of FOH and BOH daily Maintaining high quality food standards at all times and ensuring quality control, sanitation, health, security and safety standards align with industry standards and laws.
Follow and enforce alcohol service policies.
Responsible for financial oversight of store, including, but not limited to: Achieving daily sales while focusing on intentionally growing sales year over year and achieving assigned budget.
Implementing cost controls as needed to achieve positive financial results.
Submitting weekly forecast and owning location P&L and EBITDA expectations Overseeing execution of required daily reporting, completion of required reports, and compiling month-end reporting.
Overseeing control of all inventories, product cost, cash handling, and purchasing Establishes work functions for leadership team and provides guidance and feedback regarding daily execution of responsibilities.
Coordinates with leadership team to ensure optimal operation of restaurant during scheduled shifts; ensures staff work hours and peak dining hours are optimally covered.
Responsible for every aspect of the hiring process for all employees.
Completes and maintains performance reviews and other required personnel records.
Retains team members and promotes a positive team member environment by developing team members through ongoing training, modeling and leadership.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Using all performance management tools, including development plans, to provide guidance and feedback to the team.
Using engagement strategies to recognize, motivate, and celebrate individuals and teams delivering outstanding performance at their Community Store Using new leader transition sessions to ensure success with managers a few months after taking on new roles.
Conducting regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members.
Conducting quarterly Feedback and Action Planning sessions with the management team to assess how things are going from a higher level and work on continuously improving the business and work environment Planning and managing talent resources to support normal business levels and growth; This includes all hourly team members, keyholders and operations leaders Mentoring Ols and Keyholders to develop their leadership skills Required Experience/Environment and Working Conditions A minimum of 2 years experience leading and developing a team; restaurant experience preferred Valid Driver’s License Experience managing a tight-margin operation Proven ability to lead and develop a team.
Budgeting, forecasting, and sales experience preferred.
Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
Role requires a background check and manager level food safety certification and alcohol certification.
Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent supervisor skills English reading, writing, math, and computer skills required.
Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend, and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout the shift.
Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at times.
Ability to be on feet for up to eight (8) hours a day.
Ability to work around loud noises and in a fast-paced environment.
