By joining our KYTC/Office of Highway Safety as an Administrative Branch Manager in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to provide overall management for all sections and units within the Safety Education Branch.
Holders of the Administrative Branch Manager position will complete tasks such as:
Plan, manage, and coordinate all Branch programs and projects within the Education Branch
Manage day to day branch activities.
Authorize overtime and leave requests and evaluate the performance of subordinates.
Research and analyze branch operations and recommend policy and procedural modifications.
Research, collect data, and write comprehensive program status reports.
Assist the Director, Assistant Director, and staff with program project activities.
Holders of this job will obtain the following skills:

Supervisory experience
Performance management experience
Budget experience
Teaching experience

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Five years of professional administrative experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in public or business administration or a related field will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.

Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.
