JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Curriculum Resource Administrator
Responsible To: Director of Elementary or Secondary Schools
Licenses &
Requirements: Master’s Degree (or equivalent), three (3) years of successful classroom teaching at the appropriate level and must have valid Kentucky Administrative Certificate.
Basic Function: Work with building principal and district school director to implement an effective instructional program.
Performance Responsibilities:
Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
Identifies curriculum needs and cooperatively plans with the principal, student achievement literacy/math coaches, staff, council, and District personnel to meet student achievement goals.
Assists in formulating and writing curriculum (including curriculum maps, common assessments, Standards Based Units of Study) to align with the philosophy and objectives of the curriculum framework.
Disseminates information concerning new trends, innovations, and research in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Participates in and/or facilitates district-level curriculum work including regular meetings of the district curriculum team and comprehensive district improvement planning meetings
Develops and follows a regular schedule of classroom visitations/observations to obtain information and understanding of curriculum programs, practices, and materials being used.
Coaches individual teachers on the research, design, and implementation of instructional best practices and on the attainment of individual professional growth goals.
Models effective teaching practices to ensure introduction and implementation of strategies and programs identified to reach the school’s academic goals.
Serves as Building Assessment Coordinator and works with the District Assessment Coordinator accordingly.
Identifies appropriate diagnostic and evaluative assessment instruments to support the curriculum and the attainment of the goals of student achievement teams and /or the comprehensive school improvement plan.
Uses and models for others the use of data mining software to monitor the learning of each student on a timely basis.

Works with the principal, student achievement literacy/math coaches, and the staff in the preparation and completion of reports related to student achievement teams and the comprehensive school improvement plan.
Assists student achievement teams and helps evaluate the effectiveness of the work of student achievement teams and coaches.
Helps student achievement coaches and staff as they analyze and interpret assessment data needed to plan, develop, and evaluate programs.
Assists in the identification and acquisition of professional development, supplies, materials, and equipment for use in the implementation of instructional programs and teaching strategies.
This includes leading the textbook adoption process including the development and implementation of the school textbook plan.
Assesses staff development needs based on data and works with professional development committee to develop, implement, and evaluate the school’s professional development plan.
Models life-long learning by attending conferences and sharing with faculty about the sessions, by reading up-to-date, relevant materials, etc.
Coordinates and/or delivers school and district professional development training as needed.
Assists with activities related to the development, writing, and implementation of comprehensive school improvement plan and other major reports such as the school report card as required.
Efficiency
Assists in the development of forms and writing of grants.
Participates in and/or facilitates school-based committees.
Reports regularly to Council about curricular, instructional and/or assessment issues.
Serves as communication liaison between schools and Office of Teaching and Learning.
Fulfills other duties as assigned by supervisor.
