Shift
40 hours / week.
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Occasional evenings and weekends.
Locations varies between University of Kentucky and BCTC with travel to other KCTCS schools.
Job Summary
Supporting the University’s efforts to enroll a well-qualified and diverse student body.
This position directly supports the mission and strategic plan of the University of Kentucky and the Office of Enrollment Management.
Managing the goals of recruiting and enrolling the optimum numbers of highly qualified students who wish to transfer from another institution.
The Program Advisor Senior will develop and implement recruitment initiatives and manage the enrollment and transfer equivalency process for prospective, admitted, and enrolled transfer students and families, both in and out of state.
This position will act as a liaison for potential transfer, non-Next Gen dual credit, and other specialized populations of students with other enrollment management offices and the college academic advising units, research the general education curriculum from previously attended schools, and manage transfer recruitment events and associated communication strategies.
This position will also advise transfer and other specialized populations of students during the matriculation process to facilitate transfer credit to UK Undergraduate advising is part of the learning mission of the University.
Advisors will present the curriculum required for each part of a degree as well as fully explain the rationale of the courses and assist students in integrating the degree requirements as one part of a student’s overall career plan.
This position provides information about degree programs so that students are equipped to make more informed decisions as they transfer to UK.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
MS Windows, Excel, experience in a Student Information System, and experience in a Student Services Department.
