Job Summary
The University of Kentucky is seeking a faculty member to provide pediatric cardiology services at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, community cardiology, Kentucky Children’s Hospital, and the department of Pediatrics.
This position will be responsible for providing clinical services in the clinics, inpatient service, and the on-call service.
In addition, this position will provide teaching services to the Department’s courses and with resident training.
The faculty member will also collaborate on research activities for clinical projects and care reports, as well as participate in professional development activities such as regional, state, and national meetings.
The Kentucky Children’s Hospital has Eastern and Central Kentucky’s only Level I pediatric trauma center, Level IV newborn (neonatal) intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit.
In addition, this facility houses more than 30 advanced sub-specialty programs, such as pediatric oncology and pediatric surgery.
Our collaboration with the Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute means we have joined forces to provide advanced pediatric heart care close to home for patients in Kentucky.
The collaboration combines the strength of UK HealthCare’s advanced pediatric and adult congenital heart care with Cincinnati Children’s nationally ranked experts in pediatric cardiac care and surgery.
